THE COSMIC CIRCUS

By Douglas Booth & Donald F. Glut

Can we go Rob? Can we? Can we? Huh? Huh?

The circus is coming! And the Orbots not only want to go to it, they want to join it! But trouble is afoot!

The Cosmic Circus Train - Honestly, I think Leiji Mastumoto did it better! The Ringmaster and his hench...cat, Tigra... no not THAT Tigra! (Holy Thundercats!) As the space train approaches Earth (Galaxy Express 999 anyone?) it makes a wrong turn, and is stopped by the Galaxy Patrol's Tractor Beams. After a quick correction for the misunderstanding and clearance by Dia, the ship is released. But the Ringmaster sends his space train into a power dive, all to lure Mighty Orbots to rescue them! After they manage to catch and safely land all the coaches and cars, the Ringmaster converts his train into the tents and rides of his sideshow and in 'gratitude' invites the Orbots and the rest of the Galaxy Patrol to visit the Cosmic Circus.

Look into my eyes - er - talk to the hand! Dia authorizes the release of the Cosmic Circus Train with her handprint GOTCHA! Mighty Orbots grabs the out-of-control locomotive! Now either M-O got much smaller in his old age, or that's one BIG loco!

The Flying Roboties - well, at least they're wearing clothes to cover their identities this time! Ground control to Major Tom - Commencing countdown, engines ON! The Ringmaster talking with his buddy UMBRA!
Rondu senses something strange about the circus. He orders the Orbots to go undercover as “The Flying Roboties” and find out what they can. In their search, Boo and Ono discover that the Ringmaster is actually an agent of Shadow, and is plotting to kidnap key members of the Galactic Patrol who have the authority to override the GP’s master computer, which would allow Shadow to invade.

It is a well known fact that if your eyes glow in your relfection, you should RUN LIKE HECK!!

Using the circus’ “House of Mirrors” the Ringmaster makes duplicates of five officers and Dia. The real officers find themselves trapped within the glass while their duplicates return to GP Headquarters.

It is also fact that if your reflection does not turn... ...reaches out and grabs your hand... ...invites you to come in and play... ...that you are oficially in deep doo doo Dia!

Bad kitty! Tigra (NOT THAT TIGRA LION-O!) releases all the beasts from their cages! Orbots as zoo keepers! Anybody got a leash?

There they set the computer to allow Umbra to download himself into it. Can the Orbots save Dia and the other officers, plus quell a stampede of released circus beasts before the mirrors break and Umbra takes over?

Tonight's musical interlude will be by Bort on his robotic flute named 'Beast Tamer' Major robotic tongue action! You've gotta be impressed by an animation when they go to the trouble to DETAIL a robotic tongue!

GO! MIGHTY ORBOTS! to the next story...
