Kleptos and The Kid

We need a BIG pot of coffee after THAT trip! - actually, that's a pot of PROTIUM™! Treat it nice or it WON'T BE! The Orbots are sent on a special mission to the planet Urbanous – “The most densely populated of all planets” – to deliver a sample of Protium™ (it looks like raspberry jam gone bad), a material that, when exposed to oxygen, grows uncontrollably (so naturally lets bring some to “The most densely populated of all planets!” Makes sense to me!)

Ow... After landing, the Orbots are given the chance to take a breather and stretch their cables and linkages. Bort, who has been carrying the container of the material (it has this neat little lid that keeps popping open on regular moments to allow enough air in to keep the sample alive… wonder where Bort KEPT this while flying… hummm…) puts it down… which is then promptly stolen by The Kid, who takes it to his Artful Dodger type accomplice, Kleptos. But before they can do anything with their swag, Tor sees them and takes chase. The cons escape into an airshaft with Orbots in hot pursuit until Crunch mistakenly drops a blast shutter on Tor, bringing it to a crashing halt.

Belladonna - Agent of Shadow! How can something so pretty be sooooo bad! Another example of details this series had, what with Umbra appearing as reflections in her eyes! Mutron the Baddass Transformer! Very much more than meets the eye!

Crunch saves The Kid when he falls off a pipe and nearly splatters himself on the street. Stop right there! The Orbots surround the two theives! Umbra, seeing an advantage, calls upon his local agent, Belladonna, to seek out the pod. She in turn brings up her own robot, the Mutron, a multi-transforming droid to assist her. They manage to disrupt the Orbots attempt at capturing the pair.

Kleptos, who is now attempting to pawn off the pod, figures that if Belladonna is trying to get it so bad, he’d sell it to her. He sets up a meeting with her in Rocket Park, an old ship junkyard.

Belladonna and Mutron break up the arrest attempt. As the story puts it, she and the Orbots have a history - it would have been interesting to see if this could have been expounded upon if the series had only lasted longer!

Humm... maybe she's from Gamilon... Hey Deslock! Com'here! What's dome-shaped, has four spidery legs and is the size of your average office building? THAT BEHIND YOU DUMMY!! The Shadow Walker! When the time comes, the two thieves are confronted by a Shadow Walker, Belladonna’s mobile command center. Taken inside, she demands the pod. The Kid, sensing that she will do them harm, opens the lid to the Protium™, which was a bad move on any planet!
The Orbots chase after the Shadow Walker! SPLAT!! Someone just squished a jelly filled donut! No they didn't! That the Protium™ bursting out of the Shadow Walker! EEEEEEW!!

Can Mighty Orbots save Kleptos and The Kid before the Protium™ swallows them alive and the rest of the planet as well?
